A high school diploma is always valued by employers and education organizations. However if for some reasons you can't get a HS diploma, the GED, HiSE, or TASC diploma is 1000% better than no diploma!

"The biggest difference is degree -- GED, TASC, HiSET or high school diploma -- versus no degree," explains a hiring consultant.

Employers want to know that they're hiring someone who can complete a goal they've set for themselves.

With trade skills and labor positions, the GED credential is typically considered equivalent to a high school diploma and rarely has any impact on job seekers.

Years of relevant experience or technical skills usually become the deciding factor.

Proof of the degree is all that's required. It's when a job seeker doesn't have a GED, TASC, or HiSET or a high school diploma that employers move on to the next applicant."
